All About Ms. Shauntee-Wilson

My name is Ms. Keichea Shauntee-Wilson and I am a teacher at Ypsilanti High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I would like to welcome you to the 2010-2011 school year.

I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into our classroom. This is my first year in the Ypsilanti School District, but I have two years experience as a Secondary Educator. I am a life-long learner. I graduated from Hampton University with a BS in Business, from Wayne State University with an MBA in Business, from Marygrove with an MED in Education and am currently attending Walden University working toward my EdD in Teaching a Leadership. I have over 25 years experience working with children through dance education.

I also enjoy spending time reading, exercising, teaching dance at my church, and spending time with my 5 year old son and my 7 year old daughter.

My philosophy for learning is that learning for each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside with them to maximize it. I believe in hands-on experiences, learning creatively and learning through play, movement and music. I am looking forward to a fun-filled and educational year!

My daily class schedule is as follows:

7:20A - 8:27A PREP/Conferences
